climate control fan rumbling

i have a gradually occuring rumble coming coming from passenger side behind dash, 198k on clock. sounds like bearings have gone in the interior climate fan, its a serious vibration / noise, just like the rumble strip transmission noise, but for sure its coming from behind the dash and i want to say is the fan as it only happens when the heat / cooling blower is on , its intermittent usually more prevalent on cold days, as soon as i turn off the blowers it gone.

anyone else experienced ? anyone change that fan? intrigued as the noise is intermittent....

My '03 Limited was the same way, at times the blower was making a lot of noise and at times it would almost go away. Ended up getting a replacement one from Rock Auto for about $25 - problem solved.

Time for a new fan (not worth trying to fix bearings). This is pretty typical after that many miles. happens on my BMWs too :/

My fan is also making weird squeaking noises from the passenger side. Can anyone point me toward a DIY write-up for this fix and the link to the part? I'd be so pumped if I could fix this for so cheap and in a short period of time in the driveway!

Just found this video YouTube Is that what we're talking about? This should be easy peasy!

I watched YouTube ... a lot of superfluous information, but it was a 4th Gen and gave me a good idea what to do. It's really, really easy.
