Reached out to Rago as I'm over 6 weeks and their customer service has always been super responsive and they indicated that they are boxing up the "majority" of the 5th gen raw panels today. So hopefully more of us will be getting tracking info soon!
 
Are you guys getting yours powder coated or do you plan on spraying them with something else?

I'm in LA and I'm looking for a reasonable quote. Any ideas on what it should cost or where I should look?

I plan on cleaning them up with some steel wool and acetone. Then hitting them with some self etching primer and spraying them in matte black. If that doesn’t hold up then I will take them down and have them powder coated.

This is exactely what i did and used. I used the acetone, then self etching primer and then flat black paint. Came out good.

I've had good success with ceramic high temp engine paint, so I'm planning to paint mine with primer and satin black engine paint and seeing how they hold up
 
I spoke with Rago fab today on the phone, and the the customer representative explained to me the reason as to why some of the orders are late is that they had an issue with the laser cutting company. All is back on track, with the tremendous amount of orders they have, they will have them all shipped by the next couple weeks.

Heres hoping that next couple of weeks doesnt turn out to be a month. I need to get these installed so I can mount my solar accesories on them.

Understandable with all the orders placed.

I understand your frustration, however these people are working OT to get manufacturing back on track. The only thing we can do is wait, for patience is a virtue.
That being said, Rago Fab are a honest and well reputable company. My experience with them Over the phone in regards to various subjects ( including this group buy) has been nothing but positive and great customer service. They were straightforward and explained the case as to the delay, and didn't beat around the bush coming up with excuses and/or false promises. I definitely applaud them for how they handle their business, and sooner or later my friends, all our orders shall be fulfilled.

Mine were dropped off at my UPs pickup point on Thursday and I picked them up yesterday. I cleaned them with mineral spirits then gave them a quick sanding with 220 grit. Followed that with 2 layers of primer. Then 2 layers of matte black paint on top. If the paint doesn’t hold up I will consider getting them powder coated but once they are installed and everything is mounted I don’t imagine they will get that abused. I guess it depends what is mounted.

Mine are for a 4th Gen 4runner. These things are amazing! Looking forward to seeing what all of you mount to yours.

I'm at about 7 weeks now but working in a parts department myself I know there are many things that are just out of their control. I'm fine with waiting a few more weeks if I get an extra sticker.
