Have any of you installed your panels yet? Any pointers you care to share? Mine just arrived and I plan to install them soon. I read the instructions online, but thought I would ask if there is any helpful tips you can share.

Thanks

Durwin

I am waiting for a raingler cargo net in the mail, I have to pull out the rear panels for that too, so figured I would do both at once. I still need to couple specific tools they have listed.

Mine are out for delivery at the moment. I’ll post up some of my storage items once I get them painted and installed. I plan to get them and my sliders on tonight.

Received my panels last night. They look great. Pretty stout. Just need to decide on finish. Thanks again.

Received shipping confirmation earlier this week and scheduled for delivery tomorrow. I'm considering taking them to a local powder coating facility. For those who have done the PC, how much does it typically run for the panels?

Delivered, installed, geared up!

I chose to hit them with Rust-Oleum Hammered paint. Took maybe two hours to hit them with a wire wheel in my angle grinder, wipe them down with paint thinner, and give them a couple coats. I chose this route over powdercoat, as they may end up getting scratched by gear, hooks, etc and if I paid for powder-coating, that would bum me out. Same theory with my sliders, as I can easily touch them up and not worry about the paint matching.

Finally got mine and local place powder coated in a day... so happy.. pretty much saved another 90$

Looks cherry. What POR15 can size you used to paint your panels?

I bought a quart & divided it amongst 7 or 8 small jars. Used 1 jar. Doesn't take much. Love the stuff.

Got my molle panels back from the powder coater and couldn't wait to install them, I installed the Driver's side since I still have to remove the passenger side at some point for another project, here's the panels fresh from the powder coater

And here's a before of the driver's side all stock and unmolested.

And since I was installing these, I grabbed some stock rubber coated D-Rings from the FJ to help fill in the stock holes (per Rago's recommendation)

I didn't want the open holes around the bolts, so these helped fill the space around
