Clutch and grinding problems HELP

Ok so my dad has a 93 4runner and one day the clutch pedal just stayed down and would not come back up. He changed the slave and master clutch cylinder but it would grind. So he bled it but now it only shifts when its cool. It has trouble changing gears after its been ran a while. Could it be low on transmission oil?

I really want to get this thing fixed so i can go out on the mountains Haha

Did he bench bleed the master cyl first?

There is also an adjustment on the back of the clutch pedal to help get some more throw out of it.

if he changed them, they need to be readjusted. sounds like there isn't quite enough throw on the mc, the rod needs to be adjusted just a bit longer.
