Seeing if anyone is interested in taking a day (maybe overnight) wheeling trip. Still learning the area so I'm open to trail ideas.
If you have any other members to add let me know. I would say the only requirment is a Cb radio, makes things a lot nicer. On the overnight trip I would say whatever camping gear you want, just make sure your warm enough, and food and drinks for yourself, maybe someone has a small grill we could use. Spare parts and tools are always nice as well. Hoping to meet you guys!

Are yall looking to stay in the northern part of the state or possibly heading south, I might be in for an overnight trip somewhere.
 
I'd be interested in either.... most likely an overnight thing depending on what trail/trails are chosen. Be careful though... a lot of the higher elevation trails are already closed and more will be closed by then. Still plenty that would work though.
 
I'm in for whatever. Hopefully I'll have my new front end setup by then and potentially some 851s in the rear.
 
Still working on that part. I think with low end of 4 and a high of 7 or 8 would be the most fun cause the more built could push themselves and less would still be able to make it. I still am learning the area so post up suggestions and then I'll make a poll of the trails and we can go from there.

I know a few of you guys including myself have done it before and its as easy or as crazy as you really want to make it. Might still be open then....as the high point is just less than 9,000.
 
I'm from CO originally, now located in Tulsa, OK but I will be back in CO for the week before Thanksgiving and would love to get in on some trails! Unfortunately I have little/no experience wheeling in CO outside of the FJ Summit so I've got no input on trails.
 
Is kelly flats open? I thought it was closed indefinitely following fire+whatever acts of god I've forgotten about in recent years.

I'm down though, especially for the camping bit. Hell, the entire purpose of me building my 4runner was to get me to better camp sites. That also makes the appeal of low end 3 high end ___ better, since I'd hate to leave all my camping gadgetry on the side of the trail due to catastrophic failure :)

Kelly is open. So is moody hill (if your curious). Most of our stuff up north is open now.

Wheeler lake isn't bad, just the first 2 obstacles require a spotter depending on the line. I did it last month with another group.
 
I'm willing to bet Wheeler Lake will be closed here really soon.

I've always wanted to run Saran Wrap. Never done it, but looks like it has some spots that could be challenging.

I'm up for just about anything. Never done Kelly Flats either, so I'd be willing to check that out also.
 
Kelly flats is honestly pretty fun. Lots of interesting lines, some technical bits, the chutes if anyone is feeling ballsy.
[MENTION=94888]EatonKyleH[/MENTION] do you know if crystal mountain is open yet? Moody isnt much now that its paved (besides the quarry which I need to do again because nobody took pictures), but if we could hook up to crystal it would make it worth it
 
Not really sure on Crystal... last time I checked it was still closed. I'll call and find out.

Depending on the group of rigs and capabilities Chinaman's Gulch would be an option as its open year round.

It's pretty rough most of the time but doable for most of ya'll.

P.S. Tyler..... If we do Kelly Flats.... You haveeeeee to do the chutes. Babes would be so impressed.

Also if we wind up doing Kelly or other trails in the area and someone needs a place to stay the night before feel free to hit me up. My guest room is open and we could head out together or whatever.
