Hey y'all. I've got a '00 4R Limited with the 3.4L and with 270K on the clock and I'm getting a lot of missing that started gradually awhile back. Diagnostics say cylinder 1 & 4 misfire and reference the Mass Air Flow Sensor. I've thoroughly cleaned and recleaned the MAF and still have the miss. About two years ago I replaced the plugs and coil packs and from what an ex-dealer mechanic told my son a couple of days ago after looking at it, it is the coil packs and not the MAF behind the miss.
When I did that previous coil and plug change out, I saved the old coil packs as only a couple seemed to be problematic just like today's situation. I'm wondering if there are any specs available for resistance or other properties that I could check in both the old and newer ones so that I don't have to replace the whole set? Any info and tips any of you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much in advance!
