Coil wires?

I have 2000 4 runner that has had an engine miss only after warming up on #3 cylinder for a while now, I gave it a tune up and replaced the #3 coil with no help, but I notced the wire connected to the #3 coil has the rubber coating melted off and the copper wire has started to turn green, could this be the problem and how would I replace the burnt wire to the coil

Have you tried swapping the coils around to see if the problem follows? Bare copper wire is never good for sure, if its not burning from a short or something you should be able to wrap it with electrical tape.
