Ok, I’m baffled! I was backing up in a rough, rocky area & one rear wheel came of the ground & engine revved up.i don’t think engine came close to redline & took foot of accelerator immediately. When I put in drive to go up a pretty steep paved incline I noticed a distinct miss. I checked code & came up with cylinder 2 misfire. I removed coil packs & all ohm readings were good & same. I swapped coil packs around swapped plugs around too. Had battery disconnected during process. Started & drive until cel flashed, same cylinder 2 misfire.
Thought maybe try injector next, so I Changed cylinder 2 injector with a used one that used to work fine & still cylinder 2 missfire. did compression test, numbers all over the place.
#1-200psi,#2-190,#3-205,#4-160,#5-210,#6-80.i had plug#2 laying on
Block while cranking & had a very fat, blue spark. I checked valve lash thinking #6 is too tight clearance because of low compression. All clearance were Very close to spec & none were too close. What to do next??
Why misfire on #2 when its compression is so much better than #6??
I’ve owned truck for 17 years , 294k miles.
Thanks guys!!
Tom
