Colorado Front Range Meet and Greet

I don't know if any of you MTB or anything like that but we're kicking around the idea of a MTB meet up.
As everybody else has said, it would be cool to have a meet-n-greet or something. We could do a Camp/Hike/MTB/Fishing/Shooting/Mall Crawl/Basket weaving.....IDk?

I have lusted for the high country since leaving Grass Valley, Ca in '93. The past decades exiled in Texas (Austin, Houston, Lubbock) have weighed my soul down. The heart craves mountains, snow and trees.

Just waiting on approval of my work transfer, then we can start house hunting. Who can steer me to good fishing spots in the area? planning to take a few weekend trips up this summer to scout neighborhoods to live in.

I'm also accepting offers from volunteer moving truck unloaders. The position is not monetarily compensated, but comes with automatic upgrade to full friend status :-D

What kind of fishing do you prefer? Lake or river? Fly or lure?

My husband goes fishing as much as he can. He loves river/lure but will also go to a lake. He doesn't like to sit and wait with the bait, no patience. Tomorrow we are going to Cottonwood Lake, west of Buena Vista, look it up its beautiful.
 
It would be nice to have a meet......as of now I don't know anyone with a T4R and see more than a few around Colorado Springs.
Actually, saw a nice Mag grey 5th gen at the King Soopers off of Academy & Austin Bluffs......got them to waive!
 
I'm in....Maybe meet somewhere between Denver and the Springs? Somewhere near Rampart Range? Bring the poles for some fly fishing or lure fishing in the South Platte. Mountain bikes???? I'm up for whatever.

I am definitely up for some fly fishing and or Mtn Biking. Another thought, I'm not sure if you guys are into shooting but there are a ton of places to shoot off of Mt Herman Rd.
 
Everyone meet at Bass Pro Shop Saturday at 1pm. Done.

And if there's more than one Bass Pro Shop in Denver then go to the one I go to.
 
I'm up for a meet, a couple of us 5th gen folks were starting to talk about something. I don't really fish but I mountain bike and I'd love to do a run in the 4runner with other folks. I work M-F so weekends are best but I also spend a lot if time up in summit county. Heck if those guys on the east coast can meet up from multiple states surely those of us within an hour can find some time eh?

Well I am willing to give this a third attempt.

I propose we do a meet and greet at a spot in Castle Rock or Monument.
My preference is Monument but I am ok either way. I suggest we plan it for Saturday June 21 so we have time to get other things out of the way. I recommend a morning meeting time, say 10:00. this way if anyone wants to continue with a ride or trail run, there will be time.

After meeting and getting to know each other we can plan a real trail run like China Wall or Metberry or?

So how about meeting Saturday June 21 in Monument at the Village Inn at 10:00?

What say you
