Colorado Front Range Meet and Greet

this is pretty funny. I was coming back over here to comment on if anyone knows how to install an OME lift on the 5th gen with some UCAs. I guess I got in at the right time with you guys talking about it. I would really like to get the lift but honestly can't afford both plus the labor right now when I'm paying out of pocket for my masters.

Is anyone else interested in a meet up this Saturday?
I would rather meet further South too. I don't know the area real well but I will throw out the Home Depot parking lot at Castle Rock.

If this is not good how about planning for July 12th?
 
Perhaps edit this thread title to read "Colorado Springs/Denver meet and greet" or "Colorado Front Range meet and greet" or "Denver Metro meet and greet". I disregarded this thread due to the generic non location specific title.

Bummed we couldn't coordinate something for tomorrow. The next three Saturdays are out for me. But after that if we plan a meet and drive that might be cool? Open to other ideas.
 
The post title was Colorado Meet and Greet. I added Front Range to it.

I am available any weekend in July except July 19 (FJ Summit).

Propose we meet in Castle Rock so we are mid way between Colorado Springs and Northern Denver area.

Lets get together share our interests, share our mods, learn each others skill levels and just get to know each other.

Which is more enjoyable- Paying a shop $400 to install a spacer lift or getting a few 4Runner enthusiasts together and having a mod day. That $400 could go to the next mod. I enjoy the feeling of having completed a mod myself.

I know this is kind of old school thinking :jaw:


Post your interest and availability. then we can figure out the details that work for most.
 
I actually have weekends off again, so Ill keep an eye on this thread.
Also getting my ass back out on the Mtn bike/SS cyclocross if anyone wants to spin around the springs. PM me

Sorry guys (and girl), I feel like I left you hanging this weekend. I ended up having a camping/shooting/offroad trip up at Bill Moore Lake this past weekend. If you haven't gone there, its a pretty simple off road trail but there are some pretty large moguls in the first half. Enough to where I was teeter tottering for awhile there and leaning pretty hard. I don't have any off-roading photos but here is the spot.

I'm interested. I'm in Fort Collins but visit family in northern Colorado Springs often (near Monument).

I'll keep an eye on this thread and see what develops.

haha I know, that was my roommate's. Say what you want about Jeep but they certainly do make it through the obstacles with no issues. I was definitely challenged through some of the moguls with a stock height 4Runner.

I actually still like wranglers, after owning three different jeeps I just won't have one as a daily driver. I could own a 2 door wrangler any day for fun, the short wheelbase is sweet. 4runners are still better considering I have two small kids and want to be able to take them with me off-road sometimes!
