Hello my fellow 4Runner owners and builders,

Since giving up my 15' TRD Pro in January, I have bought a new car for my mother a 15' Camry SE. Buying her a new car meant I can take my 2002 4Runner Sport Edition for myself and do whatever I want with it!

I have a long list of plans and parts for my Runner. So, stick around and enjoy. Any input or advice is always and greatly appreciated.

15' 4Runner TRD Pro (Sold January)

02' 4Runner Sport Edition (Current 183K)

DAMAGES:

- Radiator/Core Support
- Front Bumper
- Front Passenger Fender w/ Flare
- Grill
- Passenger Side Headlight Assembly
- Rear Passenger Quarter Body Flare
- Lift Gate
- Rear Bumper Assembly
- Rear Driver Quarter Damage

I have gone to multiple Auto Body Shops and have been quoted everything from $4,000 to $14,000. I did not have Full Coverage when all the accidents happened, so I am paying for everything out of pocket. Regarding all this damage I have decided to repair and or replace what is needed and just do a full on Trail Build!

Done So Far:

- Installed Airaid Jr Intake Kit
- Cleaned MAF & TB
- Replaced Spark Plugs
- Replaced Fuel Filter
- Replaced Fill Over Valve w/ Hose (Caused P0440 & P0446)
- Replaced Valve Cover Gaskets

Do To So Far:

- Install Full Bilstein 3" Lift Kit
- Energy Suspension Bushings

A little update, I've been lacking. I dropped off my damaged and beat to hell 4Runner for paint and body repairs.

So after a couples weeks and $3150 into it.

Big! Box of something showed up Nov 28th.
Wheels & Tires mounted, balanced and put on at a Local Pepboys same day.

112-620 Eibach/Toytec front coil springs 620lb spring rate
TAC-DR Front diff drop kit
Rear ToyTec 9602RC 3″ lift coils
Rear Bilstein Extended 5100 shocks

Not pictured some of Energy Suspension Bushings: Steering Rack, Front Bump Stops.

Everything put together and installed by a friend that just happens to own a shop and be a 4Runner enthusiast.

So in my Big! Box was this a ARB Bumper Spend the previous weekend putting on and wiring it up. Gotta say actually mounting the damn thing was pretty hard, solo.

How is the 3" lift doing for you? What kind of feel were you going for? Just curious because I'm thinking of doing a lift but no set on how i want to do it,make sense?

So far I'm happy with it, in sense of I haven't put enough miles on & offroad to really have a compete opinion on it.

What I was mainly trying to get out of it was usefulness. I didn't want to do anything too crazy, but yet I wanted something that can still do quite a bit both on and offroad. I'm currently building an adjustable trac/panhard bar for it and some beefier rear lower links. With that I'll really get it to stretch its legs.

The front, I do have to say was pretty stiff when I didn't have any weight on it. Once the ARB bumper was put on, it ease up a little bit. I'm still happy with my choice. I'll give more of an update, once I put on more than 300 miles on it.

If it wasn't for the fact that I'm moving out your way-ish in less than a month, I'd be buying a lift and tires for my 4R as well. Damn responsibilities!
