Okay, so I know that the 3rd Gen limited with the 16" wheels can't fit 15" wheels because the front brake setup is slightly different. Every time I try searching for what these differences are, all that comes up is TBU threads.
Anyway, I know that the 16" wheel option has 318mm rotors vs the SR5's 297mm rotors, but what I cannot find any evidence of is whether or not the calipers are different.
Different rotor sizes would suggest that the calipers are different, but I'm trying to find a visual comparison on the internet and have had no luck so far.
The reason I'm asking this is because I'm getting some Reman Calipers for my Limited and I have serious trust issues when it comes to just letting my parts guy tell me what I need. I'm the type of guy who will usually research the parts and part numbers myself and either order parts directly, or tell my parts guy exactly which product to get for me.
That and last time I just took my parts guy's word for it, I ended up with Chrysler 300 CV axles. It wasn't his fault, there was a mistake on his supplier's website catalogue, but still. I hate getting ready to sit down and do a job only to find out that I have the wrong parts. So frustrating.
So.. are the calipers actually different or just mounted higher to accommodate bigger rotors?
