Thought I'd post up some pics and updates of my 2000 Limited I've been "building" on for a while.
This is my first 4Runner - I'm coming from the Land Rover side of things... So far I love the truck. I told myself I wasn't going to build an IFS rig but what the hell!
I'm not building it for any "hard core" stuff. Instead, I want something capable when things get "sketchy" yet comfortable and reliable enough to travel long distances.
I started this build a while ago and work on it when I'm not at my day job - I work for a company that teaches military special teams off-highway driving, recovery and field repair so that keeps me busy with "company" trucks and students.
So far I've added a Toytec Lift, SS HD panhard, 285 Geolanders on Taco steel wheels with spacers, 1" BL(not a big fan of body lifts but I had to), Outdoor Logic front bumper, Superwinch 9500 with MP XD Line, LED Light Bar (It's a no-name bar but tough as hell and sealed like a submarine!), and the deck plate mod.
I'm waiting on steel to build some simple sliders and haven't decided on a rear bumper yet. I've also got some in-cab winch switches I'll be installing tomorrow hopefully. After that I'm gonna do something about the baby UCA's and LCA's they put on these things!
This is a great site and I look forward to my future time on it!
Here she is with a company truck.
