Consolidated Slider Info Thread

If you cut the steps off of the predator sliders are they any good? I did not want them because I thought the steps would catch on rocks and trees. They were about $650 extra as an option at the Toyota dealer.

There would be no point to that as they are not sliders. They are tubular aluminum, mount to the body like other running boards/steps and don't provide the protection of frame-mounted steel sliders.

Toyota has a branded slider that is less expense than the aftermarket options. Ofc they advertise being 77lb/set, so they should probably be considered sacrificial. Someone on here has them, they're high and tight. No good as a step.
