Rock sliders that "could" work as a step too

Those are a great option; had forgotten all about Slee.
Only downside is the $1375 price tag.
Just took a look at Victory 4x4 to see where the Blitz is lining up on price these days and almost the same ($1349 steel, $1649 for the Al hybrid). Just realized they redesigned them to have an integrated step now versus just a full "boat side" style slider.

Yes, but a bit apples to oranges. Typical tube style sliders are about $1000 these days; lots of fabricators and lots of slight variations but they all almost look the same. Slee and Victory have a much more unique product (but you do pay for it).

So I will say this; I didn't put my Victory sliders on myself since I preferred to have a shop wire up the rock lights for me and add a switch (something I was not particularly comfortable with). The shop that did the work for me told me they were pretty horrible to get on and did not align well.
My fitment is not perfect either with one slider in slightly closer to the lower door than the other one.
When I first got them on I thought about reaching out to Victory to complain but ultimately decided it was one of those things where only I myself would notice. They've been on 2+ years now I think with no issues and have saved me possible body damage at least 3 times wheeling.

Not the most popular because they are aluminum, but have worked well for me are the Greenlane Offroad sliders. I have the flat version with the rear bump-out and top plates. No rust and 25 pounds each.
Have you ever actually had them in rocks?
I almost bought them but chickened out since I was worried about durability if they actually got used for their intended purpose.

Not rocks, but logs, trees, dirt etc. I wouldn't use them for rock crawling or as a jacking point either. For mild stuff they are great.
this was exactly my experience except i installed myself. sent victory some pictures of the imperfect fit, they said it won't affect functionality, asked for more detailed pictures but i didnt bother sending more
I will say this though, for a product with clearly a premium price, you'd expect the damn things to fit perfect!

Old thread but I wanted to share my experience with SLEE sliders since I don't understand why they're not more popular....
-These are stout. They have more mounting bolts than most sliders (maybe all?) on the market. Took a tight switchback on a mountain trail, which my left slider took major weight on rock face, the slider helped me pivot the back end out without damage to my quarter panel.
-The step is functional and helps my kids/wife get into the car much easier.
-In my opinion the most aesthetic sliders on the market.
