I can't imagine making these panels would be hard really at all, it's just access to the injection molding equipment. I can see some would not like the look but I think it's a great idea, of course it's not going to protect from a rollover or side tip.

Hot Metal Fab has quarter panel armor like this. I actually recently talked to him about making armored panels for our rear hatch seeing as they're so weak and could help cover up dents+scars, and he informed me that he's thought of and planned out armor for practically every body panel on our vehicles - but got so much shit flipped at him for the quarter panels that he struggles to justify producing/releasing any more beyond that. So blame the community if anything

It's easy on Jeeps because they're completely flat on all sides, but every last panel we have in curved and contoured. Just the quarter panels have nearly 30 bends in them
It also seems like a different mindset here than with the Jeep crowd. I made a thread months ago on these panels to see what the opinion was, and half the people that chimed in couldn't fathom how this saves you because "but you're drilling into your body, so you're damaging it!" People here look at it like one step forward two steps back, which is a pretty foolish and paper-thin stance to me but to each their own.

this is not armor IMO, it's ABS plastic that only attaches with 3m tape, no drilling just stick on. it's light weight and prevents light duty scratch and dents.

the video at this timestamp shows a complex panel fitted up, does not look easy lemon squeezy to me.

Ronny Dahl is not fooling around he has been doing bush stuff in AU for a long time. He seems to like it and I'm sure they give him a kickback but for a lot of people this seems like a great idea.

honestly I can see why shiat was flipped about the metal armor plating. sure if your building a tank?

Oh I didn't realize it was plastic and stick on, they look just like the steel armor we have riveted to our CJ. I imagine that'd be a lot easier to make than metal plating
In regards to steel it's to reinforce the area as well as protect it, the rear glass will pop out with a well placed dent or two. An extreme example below~

This would be great. Will give me a good incentive to get the body and paint corrected. It's better then Goat armor.

I feel like I remember an older video of his with similar if not the same panels but they were all magnetic, could be wrong though.. I used to watch a ton of Ronny for his recovery videos, extremely informative.
