So I just got back from a road trip Florida to Nashville for my brothers birthday, while up there we noticed a small leak under the truck,(Antifreeze)took it to the Chevy dealer where my brother works as a salesman and they determine the water pump was bad,a job I probably would’ve done at home but decided to let them do it as well as the timing belt while they were in there, got the labor at half price,Long story short after returning I looked up the anti-freeze that they used saying it was better than what I had (Prestone)So I googled AC Delco Dex-cool and found out it’s a GM brand with problems, on the way back my scangauge was reading 198° where as before it was always at 190° I don’t know if that’s from the replacement thermostat, anyway I plan on flushing it and replacing it with Toyota red just wondering how important it would be for me too be sure that it’s completely clean and could I have other problems with this stuff?Thanks...
