Cooper A/T's

My Cooper AT's have about 50k in them and noticed they are getting louder as they wear.

Also on wet roads they lose traction easily using light throttle when starting from a dead stop.

Is this common for AT tires?

My general experience is that all tires get louder as they wear - and generally get loudest when they're nearly worn out.

Once you wear beyond the depth of the original sipes in the tread, they tend to both get louder at that point and also lose traction in snow or wet conditions. So all of what you describe seems reasonable and common. I rarely run tires all the way down to the wear bars.

My Coopers started to lose traction before that.
