Just got a new (to me) 2015 SR5. A bit worried about abusing/damaging the cloth seats. Long term I likely will install Katzkins or Wetokoles but prioritized my spending to good tires, recovery gear, and some other necessities. In the meantime, figured I'd give the Costco Type S "Wetsuit" seat covers a go since they were only $24.99 for the front pair. I haven't seen any fitment pictures on a 4runner so thought i'd give folks a look at them installed. Clearly the quality isn't superb (sorta thin) and the fit isn't great but it isn't bad for a universal cover. Installation took 45 minutes. These are supposedly compatible with side airbags. I was able to hide the back connection straps so they weren't too much of an eyesore. Unfortunately they cover the power seat controls on the driver side - you can still use all the buttons through the seat covers though. On the passenger side I tucked under the reclining lever. The velcro at the top (for both the seat and headrest) look a bit iffy but even if that fails, it won't be catastrophic + Costco warranty is great. Definitely happy for the price I paid, that being said I expect ~1 yr of use, 2 if I'm lucky out of these.

Take a look at Clazzio leather seat covers. They are an awesome mid-level seat cover that look and fit great. I had them on my FJ Cruiser and people that didn't know any better thought they were factory leather seats.
Another nice thing about Clazzio seat covers is you can get individual pieces to replace worn out pieces.

Awesome, thanks for the tip. I was searching for a good mid grade leather option. As soon as these covers give out I'll look at Clazzios!

I've got those in another vehicle and they've held up okay for a couple years now with mild (not daily driver) use. There are tears forming along the stitching between the black/grey on the butt.
They're also not entirely waterproof, more somewhat resistant. But good at keeping misc dirt/grime off the seats. I'm happy with 'em for what I paid!
