Couple Pics......OME 861 with 35's

plenty of slack on the rear brake line, the whole bendning the tab down method??? don't even get me started on that, I will let Elton take that one. Its a tad heavier coil than the 891's but rides a little softer due to different shocks. still running the stock trac bar, may get an extended one though to fix the rear axle

861 arent even as tall as the 851s that Glen Yoshida and ShawnStCyr run,
and Im pretty sure the 9wraps are a bit taller without a load based on SteezeMcqueens measurements.

Its actually not as bad as you think and theres really nothing in the back of the 4runner to really stress out. You can run stock brake lines and panhard with 861 and taller.

and yeah, he could prob back over a Civic... I like that very few people have the guts to tailgate me now with my trailer hitch staring them in the face...
 
Yeah I love the way it looks now. I do wonder about the trailing arms though. It looks like the axle is farther forward now. Do the make adjustable ones to push it closer back to stock or should I not worry?

I would get a panhard drop if you want to get the axle pushed back where it should be, in fact I have one, just havent welded it on yet.
 
For simplicity, I would probably just get the adjustable one. There arent any shops around here I trust to weld it on and i sure can't do it.

If it were mine I'd want it moved back. You can have LCA's made (Scotty can give you a quote on that if you'd like) but at that point you'll need longer UCA's and possibly drive shaft work as well which when all is said and done could get expensive.

Duhockey- Maybe I'm just not seeing it right, but how will a panhard drop make the LCA's any longer?

The whole rear axle naturally moves forward as it moves down and moves backwards as it moves up. That's the way it is. Your axle is farther down in it's path of travel now so it will be farther forward. If you lengthen the LCAs, you'll hit the back of the fender when you stuff a tire.

Which would be the easiest place to do some trimming. Even though I'd like the axle as close to center as possible, I think the cost would outweigh the benefit unless you were already planning of having control arms made.
 
And, if you lengthen the LCAs, you'll have to lengthen the UCAs too. Otherwise your axle will be twisted and the pinion angle will be screwed.
 
Did you regear? AT or MT? 3.4 or 2.7? It looks cool but I'm not sure how functional its going to be off road
 
Great color! You just don't see many like that.

Also, might I suggest some SR5 flares and mud flaps? Other than that, looks killer. :bigok:
 
Thanks for the coments guys. I would love some sr5 or limited flares, but for what they cost I can't afford it. The extend a fenders are like $400. Thats alot for some plastic considering a brand new ARB bumper is $750. I have not re-geared yet and i've got the 3.4. You can tell its working harder but its pretty cool to be on the freeway doing like 72mph at 2K rpms.

I really want to fix the vibration issue though and the trac bar. I think i'm taking Shon's advice and doing the bracket instead. So if anyone knows a shop in the oregon area that they trust and knows how to weld, please let me know

I think a drop for the panhard bar is your best opton too. You may want go longer than the ToyTec one because of the amount of lift. it would have to be custom and definitely braced back to the frame. Adjustables work for a 3" lift but to adjust it enough to recenter the axle with your lift, it'll swing into the gas tank apon compression of the drivers wheel. As you probably know this arc can sometimes be an issue with a stock bar.

As far as centering the rear axle. You can use longer control arms and move mounts like Scotty did. Long arms have a larger arc and don't pull forward like the stock short arms do.
 
o ya bend the tab lol not sure how its done did you ever zip tie the brake line up ? ooo and i didint see u mention u also have trim packers on the rear.. and getting the panhard lined up thought for sure that strap was gonna break
 
Yeah bolting the panhard back in place was sketchy lol. I haven't zip tied the brake lines yet. Don't have a day off until wednesday.

Not sure if everyone's track bar is like this but it seems to be not perfectly straight from right to left. It's just slightly towards the front of the car on the axle side. is that how its supposed to be?
