"Crawl Control" questions

I took my stock Dunlop AT tires to the limit today where they were buried pretty well and were covered with mud and the crawl mode saved me. I was out wheeling and got into some deep, sticky mud which was deeply rutted. The locker got me moving back and forward, but could not get out of the rutted muddy track. I got out and thought about my options. Tried a couple of things that did not work. I then thought to try using the crawl feature to get out. That thing worked like it was on a mission. The truck crawled right up and out of the ruts like it was nothing. I was on my way with only a few new scratches.

I have yet to try crawl control, but this youtube (1:58 min mark) video says crawl control can be used continuously up to 12 minutes. What happens after that? Does crawl control turn off automatically? If you turn it on again, does it overheat?

In their example it is 12 minutes. My manual does refer to the system stopping if it overheats. Nothing about a time limit on the using the feature.
Similar conceptually but not the same. DAC uses ABS and engine braking to keep your downhill speed constant at around 3-4 mph while managing wheel slippage so you don't lose control on poor traction surfaces, and allows you to simply steer while the computer does the rest of the work.
Crawl control is for going uphill or through mud/sand etc. at slow speeds, and again manages the throttle and ABS to keep all 4 wheels pulling at a slow and steady pace, while you simply do the steering.
All 4th and 5th gens have DAC, but I don't think crawl control was introduced until the 5th gen.
