Cruiser Brothers' LRA Aux Fuel Tank

Does anyone have any experience with these? I know they just recently released them. They're a little on the pricey side, but there aren't too many other options out there.

Wow that looks awesome and is expensive. But imagining having an extra 33 gal makes it close to worth it....

From the picture it looks like it bolts to the underside of the frame rails, and hangs down another 4". Don't buy this if you plan to offroad.

33 extra gallons is just silly, I mean you'll need a bathroom break/stretch anyway if you are traveling cross-country. I don't see the use (other than a Mad Max apocalypse).

I wonder if they take custom orders, build it as a 15 gallon tank tucked up higher, it would be more useful.

I have been looking for a 13-15 gallon tank myself, would be really nice...

My problem is that I pull a travel trailer everywhere we go. At 4-6mpg on the highway, we're stopping every 80-100 miles to get gas. God forbid we take a route that doesn't have gas for the next hundred miles. The fittment is what I was concerned about. If it doesn't take up much more room than the spare tire did, it might be doable.

Life is about compromises sometimes;
I choose to drag our rv everywhere we go, that means I can't have the big lift and tires I want which means I can't do all the rock bouncing I want to do, but I get to stay anywhere I want and I don't have to sleep in a tent to do it. If the tank hangs down a little low, I would have to be a lot more careful with it, but I would be able to drive for more than 90 minutes without having to stop and fill up.

How heavy is the trailer you’re pulling that you’re getting 4-6 mpg’s highway?

The PDF says it mounts behind the axle and spare tire relocation is necessary, so maybe you don't lose any of the clearance you have now if you're carrying your spare underneath.

It's a 20' travel trailer, 4800# dry. I also tend to drive hyway speeds, or close to em.

That's what I'm thinking. Probably lose some, but not too much. That's why I was hoping someone has dealt with them

Gotcha, if by highway speeds you mean 75-80, that’s definitely going to drop the mpg’s.
Don’t mean to derail the thread here, and I know it’s not an apples to apples comparison, but I tow about a 3,500lb fully loaded, 16’ trailer and the worst I’ve ever had, with a terrible head wind, is 9mpg. I’m usually in the 12-14 range. That’s with the V6, but I keep it 65-70 on the highway.
4-6 just seems really low.
