I could be wrong, but the original post said the prices dealers are "paying" not "asking", but the OP would need to confirm...

Ours is a cloth 2014 SR5, but we paid $28k brand new with almost a $38k sticker in October of 2014. We've thought about upgrading to a TEP but with these prices, there's no way. Especially not when we put 30k+/year on it.

Great news on the TEPs. I have a '16 with low miles. Bad news for me on the TRDs.. I want one. Guess I'll keep my FJ for a bit longer still. They have actually bumped up a bit in price.

Our 2005 4Runner was totaled prompting the upgrade so we had about $12,000 cash to put down. The one we bought was a "Demo" but only had 140 miles on it. It had also been on the lot during a hail storm though there was no damage. We just haggled our asses off, basically. We looked at it and left when we couldn't make a deal on like a Sunday - then went in Tuesday morning and they were ready to do it. This was the 3rd vehicle we've purchased from that Toyota dealer, but I don't think I'll be going back after the experience we've had in service.

don't forget the fact that you can only get Cement on the pro.

I think you mean red, white and grey for TRDP ... :- )

And I could wrap in it any color and still money left over... I know of some people that wrapped their trucks to reduce the possibility of scratches while offloading.. I don't think its cost effective but to each his own....

I thought the pro was the only model you could get for Super white, the red, and Cement, but I just configured online and it showed trails could do white and Barcelona red. I am thinking the configure thing was messed up.

As for vehicle wraps, to get a legit installer to wrap a 4 runner, you are looking on the low side $2500 to the high side of $3500.00. So I see your point but for me the pro wasn't that much more once you started adding things up and the fact that I have a vehicle that is ready to go and needs nothing for my needs.
