Current Offroad places around Houston??

We just bought a '12 4runner and want to try out some light offroading around Houston, anyone have any suggestions on where we can go? :cowboy:

1. Spring Creek Offroad, but I think that place is closed

2. I saw this place on 12000 Bissonnet (Sugar Hill) or some old golf course. Does anyone know if this place is still open?? This place would be great to get started. Here is a video of it:

3. This park in Bridgeport looks sweet! but its 5.5 hrs away! Is there anything like this closer?

4. Someone on a Jeep Forum mentioned a place on Holmes behind some golf course, like 10 min south of Reliant. We went and tried to look but didnt find any unfenced turf to ride on

There's nothing in Houston. There's general sam's, and Tx off road ranch in Huntsville. That's the closest you will find.
Don't do any off roading on private property! It makes all of us look bad.

There are actually several around Houston. There are a couple in Crosby, TX which is about 30 minutes from downtown. Xtreme Off-Road Park and Down South Off Road Park. And Sugar Hill Off Road Park seems to be getting quite popular now a days. A lot of Subie boys are starting to get wind of it. As far as I'm concerned. All are fun and all are reasonably priced.

Hidden Falls may be a little bit of a drive but were working on a run in the next month or so and have a decent sized group. Huge park with trails from beginner to more advanced.

We've had events there with 100+ rigs and still had room.

There is also Creekside Edge Park in Splendora. Been there a few times. It is either really wet or really dry and dusty. Fun place.
