Cushioned Ball Mount - Worth It?

Is a ball mount like that linked above worth it?
Does it improve the ride in the tow vehicle?
Does it significantly decrease jarring shifts transferring from the trailer?

I have one. Not a huge, noticeable difference, but you can tell that some of the jarring is lessened. I got it on sale, so it was worth it for me.
