Custom Cargo / Trunk covers?

Is anyone running the OEM, or a custom cover for their cargo / trunk area? I live in the ghetto Baltimore, and leaving anything visible in the car is asking for a visit from the crackhead fairy.

The stock cover seems to droop down, instead of roll up, when not in use. I've only found stock photos online, so maybe my understanding is wrong. My husband has a large service animal, who frequently rides in the trunk... so I'm trying to figure out a good compromise that is easy to deploy, but that can tuck away when not needed. I'd need something I could easily deploy and remove daily.

Any suggestions? Or any users with feedback on the OEM version? Thanks!

The rolling factory cover is standard on Canadian TE. I would say I am not impress since it doesn't cover perfectly. It is not wide enough and doesn't roll out enough so items close to the rear window are sometime apparent. This is the same on the front when the second row is in the upright position.

I am also trying to find an alternative. I may remove it and replace with a larger permanent platform during trips.

I thought about using one only for travel/trips, but even still, it would be best if I could find something that retracted, as our service animal may still ride in the hatch with the fridge. I was thinking of trying to find something like those old-school pull down window shades. Maybe I could alter one to fit the trunk... but then again, they were frustrating as hell when vertical!
