Customizable Features

Does anybody have suggestions for my 2014 T4R Limited customizable features? I am going to the dealer Friday and the only changes from the default are: opening driver's door unlocks all doors and the wireless remote opening all windows and moon roof. Thanks!

I know this to be true on '10-'13 LTDs and would assume its the same for '14's

You can hold down the unlock/lock buttons on the smart key at the same time for ~5sec and this will change the functionality of the opening just drivers door VS all doors.

From what I have found though, if you don't have a smart key, there is no way to unlock/lock all doors at once, even if you use TIS. If I missed something, I would love to know though.

The only way to unlock all doors with a smart key is to touch the drivers/passenger's door handles. Even with smart keys we cannot unlock all doors with the fob itself (unless I am missing something). So that makes sense that SR5/TE's are unable to unlock all doors with the fob.

That is correct. There is no way to do it with TIS. The only way is if you get an aftermarket alarm like I did. Then, it can be programmed to unlock all doors at once.

My '13 SR5 can unlock all doors (including rear hatch) by quickly pressing the "Unlock" button twice. Holding it down rolls down all windows (but the rear). I do believe the "Unlock All" is a standard feature w/o smart key (a-la my SR5), but the "Window Rolldown" function was specifically enabled in Techstream.

As an aside, I do have the "Premium" Toyota alarm with glass break and shock sensor.

PS - Found this in the 2010 Owner's Manual posted on this very forum (See #3):

Seems to be a standard feature...

Sorry, I should have clarified. We are referring to unlocking all doors with one press of the button. That second press is just soooo inconvenient.:becky:

Rolling All windows down with key fob while approaching the vehichle is priceless option in 100'F heat right now.
