I took in my 2011 to have Bilstein 5100's installed on the front, just enough to level it out. Even after telling them what setting I wanted, when I went to go pick it up, the first thing I noticed was the amount of negative rake it had. So, I guess for me, it was more of a shop not following instructions I had given, not that the overall quality of the install was bad.

I have a 2016 now, so I'll probably try here ...

I spoke with the owner, Joey, and he seems like a pretty cool guy, that is very passionate about their work. They do all the lift work for the Ft. Worth Toyota dealership too.
 
What about powder coating etc?

I can't decide if I am going to plastidip my TEP wheels, or powder coat them... any recommendations in DFW (preferably close up to Frisco area) on a shop that does powder coating?

Have you found quotes and/or had this done yet? I'd love to see pics of the results and know pricing. Consodering this for my wheels too.

Who did you end up choosing? As with the wheel powder coating, looking to slightly lift and level.

I ended up going to my local Toyota dealership (Pat Lobb) here in McKinney. They installed 6112's up front, 5100's in back, plus 1" cornfed rear coil spacers -- $540 including the alignment. Really happy with the work they did.

I pulled the trigger on some TRD Pro wheels instead... for some reason the folks in the DFW area like to charge an arm and a leg for powder coating... so it just wasn't worth it to me... and I always wanted the TRD Wheels anyway.

I have been using the guys at Danger Close Off Road up in Justin, TX...

Jeremy and Travis are awesome and are Toyota Junkies... they race, do recovery, weld, fab, and all manner of fun... (Icon gurus!)

Give them a call if you are looking at doing any work on your 4Runner or Tacoma.

The price was my concern. And not having wheels for however long it takes. Thanks for suggesting the shop below. I'll check with them for sure for future work. Justin is convenient to my house.
