Dark Knight screening in Aurora, CO.

Just woke up and heard this on the news. A gunman shot a full theater at the midnight screening, killing 12 and injuring over 50.

Hope no one from here was at that theater or knows anyone who went, but if anyone was there, I hope all is well.

What kind of sick bas**** would do something like this?

I'm watching it on the news now...UNBELIEVABLE! It's sickening there's people like that out there. I know there's a lot of guys on the board from Colorado, don't know about the aurora area, but I hope to god everyone is doing ok. A lot of prayers are going out to friends and family out there.

Precisely why I'm worried. I know there are a lot of 4Runner folk in CO. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and the witnesses.

F*ck this guy though. With all the clever planning and strategy used, there is no way he did this because he was a poor little distressed 24 year old. I hope he suffers a slow and agonizing death. I have no mercy for people like this. Judge me if you want.

Police have the suspect in custody.

I sure hope they make an example out of him. I'm thinking capital punishment and/or perpetual water boarding until he expires.

Horrible, you imagine how frightened everyone must've been? First off its dark as hell in there, second there are gunshots going off in the movie, plus that fck threw a gas canister. At least they caught his ass. Hopefully he gets some man love in jail until he gets killed.

That's my neighborhood theater, I live a few blocks away but am crossing South Dakota on a road trip right now. I'll probably learn a few FOAF's were there. Between my house and the theater is the police station which the shooter had to know so I think we'll hear that he had a death wish blah, blah, blah...

He's not worth the bullet to kill him so they should just turn him over to the neighborhood and we can provide appropriate justice.

cut his achilles tendons and say if he can walk to the door he is free...but he only has 1 minute...then you cut his hands off at the wrist

and sink his ass to the bottom with the pictures of all the victims in there with a little light so he can look at them..

My sister-in-law's husband's daughter was in the adjecent theater where bullets penetrated but fortunatly nobody I knew was hurt.

Even for those who have concealed permits you can't carry into a theater or the like plus can you imagine some carrier with good intentions but no more than a gun safety course under their belt shooting blindly in a tear gas filled room and hitting more than the suspect. Most gun owners aren't properly trained to deal with this type of situation and if an innocent took a bullet from somebody who thought they were trying to help would just feed the anti-gun crowd.
