Forget wood, we need steel. Which reminds me: Has anyone seen a brushed aluminum plate to replace the plastic piece around the shifter and seat-heater switches?
I suspect this will get all scratched over the years, but an aluminum or stainless plate would hold up well and look good too.
Surely there must be a steel version of this:
