Daughters reaction to new (new to her) 4Runner

THIS IS AWESOME!!
I just bought my first 4Runner last week!! '08 SR5 4WD! :lookout:
I've wanted one for as long as I can remember!!
I definitely would have been this excited if my parents had given me one!
I was 18 and working at a bank when I got my first car (99 Corolla) and the only help I got with it was my parents co-signing my loan. I'm thankful for it though, it taught me a lot of responsibility!

Most Definitely Dad of the Year!!

This is my first post! Yesterday I surprised my 16 year old daughter with a great looking 2004 4Runner. She has to help pay for it so she will be invested in it. I found the forum because I was looking for a fix for a drooping visor!
Anyway I thought I would share a short video I made of us revealing it to her. Her reaction was awesome and she loves it.

You sir, are the man! I wish my folks were able to give me a new vehicle. I bought mine all on my own (not to brag). She is blessed to have an awesome Dad like you. Watching that video made me really happy, too! lol

Thanks but remember it wasn't new! It was a 2004 with 159,000 miles :thumb3:

Its about time for my oldest to get behind the wheel, he don't know it, but he not getting the 4th gen like he wants....hes getting the 3rd gen...

I'm sure she will be responsible under his guidance and he has taken all the necessary precautions.

I have a son turning 16 soon. I'm planning to get him a 4 runner.

to calm his nerves, I have setup a PS4 and GT5 with a FULL setup of race car seat, steering, pedals, speakers etc. the feeling is very realistic. he has done about 4,000 miles on it.
he is pretty settled down and calm when it comes to speed and driving in general.
In real life , when I go fast or negotiate a curve improperly, he corrects me !!!!

awesome reveal! hope you still have ear drums after that screaming.

The hood liner in my truck started to come down and fall appart in places I just ripped it out. No issues with running without it either the engine noise may be slightly louder in the cab but not enough to be noticeably louder.

curious do you work for go pro by chance cause we could always use another sponser here at t4r and our T4ROTM (t4r of the month) winners would love a go pro from time to time lol
