Hello all,

Getting ready to purchase lows and fogs from this website. I know many on here have run them without complaint. I searched but did not find a definitive answer on whether I should buy 35w or 55w for fogs? I saw people say 55w will damage your fog housing, so if I go 35w for fogs will the color be slightly different or just the brightness? Thanks in advance!

I have trs hids 50w and they work great. I originally had 35 but wanted brighter hids. 55w should be fine for your housing.

So the 55w should be ok in the foglight housing? I want to make sure so I don't damage them and have to buy new ones.

55w will do some damage on the fog housing, happen to me, it does burn off some reflector, stay 35w, you don't need that bright in the dogs, it'll overpower the distance view.

I went with the DDM 35w 3k i believe and is a good solid yellow. Can snap some pics in the morning if you'ld like.

I would also like to see pictures miller92063 :)

Also, could you please add a bit more context for us montijo505? It would be awesome to know the exact kit that you will be ordering as well as if you had a thread or two you had been looking at while researching?

Much appreciated!

I have a couple friends who run these kits in their vehicles. The 6000k 55w are BRIGHT white with a hint of light blue. The kits I'm getting are lows: 55w 6000k H11 kit, fogs: 35w 6000k 9006 kit. I have a 2008 SR5 so it has projector housings. I almost wanna get 8000k but want better output over the color. Anyone who has pictures of these kits please post pics!

Hope you post your results with the 55w kit on here. I've been considering going from 35 to 55 for the longest time.

Some daytime photos to show the color better. At night the shots were just kinda blurred and washed out. And the headlights are retro solutions ballasts and DDM 6000k 55w bulbs.

Dang those fogs are YELLOW! Not really into the different colors, but they do look good. I understand yellow are better for vision in weather but since we get very little of that in New Mexico its not a huge concern for me. Thanks for the pics, your lows are exactly what I want, anyway you can post a pic of the output at night? I mean if you're not an extremely busy guy.... lol I would appreciate it!

Literally just ordered mine, for $85 bucks shipped you can't beat it! I didn't get any of the harnesses because I read somewhere on here that they weren't necessary, also read the brackets are flimsy so I'm just going to use velcro and ties to mount them. Now its a waiting game, let's see how long I have to wait......lol

I didn't use the harness either. I wont be able to get night pics tonight unfortunately. I work 6pm to 6am and will be a ways away from my vehicle and by 6am the sun is coming back up.

I have the ddmtuning 35w 5k in 2 of my cars. They're just the right amount of white and blue. I was going to buy a set for the 4runners fogs but I read on here that the bulbs were too long and di not fit in the fog housing. Let me know how it fits for you.

I read that the 9006 won't fit in projector fogs, mine are just reflectors so hopefully they'll fit, I'll be sure and update and post pics here
