Dealer installed lift with 33" tires and weird backspacking but has no rubbing

There is a 2018 T4R at the dealer with a 2" spacer lift, 285/65/18 Goodyear Duratrac tires (33"), and 18x8.5" Ultra Crusher wheels.

When I looked up the specs of the whees on line, they are a +10 positive offset wheel. Based on the wheel offset chart, it comes out to be almost 5.25" backspace.

Everyone here recommends a 4.0 to 4.5" back space. However when I turned the wheel lock to lock there is no rubbing and they even kept the mud flaps. It doesn't look like anything was trimmed either.

This weird combination defies what has been said here but it seems to work. I'm thinking of going with the simliar wheel and tire combination after I install my TRD FJ suspension.

nothing weird about that, just most people who run aftermarket wheel and tire combos' want a more aggressive backspace/offset to either clear their aftermarket UCA's, or just don't like the sunken in look of positive offset wheels.

Also people in general are lazy as @$@#, b/c its easier to look at pictures and copy what other people have done, instead of calculating new tire/rim specs. Whereas the dealer has to, to keep everything as close to factory as possible (no rubbing/no trimming/no potential warrantee issues). I'm one of those lazy @$%@% so i basically copied the specs of the mass lemmings to get the wheel/tire combo that suits my needs.

+ offset would mean less chance of rubbing in general. negative offset is what creates more scrub radius.... The issue with high backspacing becomes clearing the UCA...

I get more like 5.14 BS.. with the specs you mentioned. Probably could not run several UCAs with that, but if it works....send it.
