Hi 4Runner friends. Delurking to say hi and thank you for the great resource. These forums have been invaluable to me over the past few weeks as I've traded one 4runner for another. Details: mid-June I lost my first auto love, a sweet 2003 v8 limited to which I had a freakish attachment, in a 40mph collision impact that cracked the frame. On the plus side, my two kids and I walked away fine. I had planned to drive that rig into the ground. Making the best of a tough situation, I took the insurance total-out check, threw a little on top and bought a 2007 v8 limited with 93K miles. We looked at the 5th Gens and, while they were very nice, I wasn't ready to part with super low end torque of that v8. So, my new rig doesn't have all the suspension bells and whistles of my old 4runner but it has the refreshed engine and the basic nav system and I adore the new color - Nautical Blue Metallic.
