Demello Offroad 4th Gen Skid Plate!

i have smashed the crap out of my stock skid plate. some plastic stuff underneath has ripped off as well.

how much is a downey skid plate? where can you get them?

Downey sells their skid plates on their website. Check them out at http://downeyoff-road.com/

You can also see if a local welder would be willing to make a custom skid plate for you. look into that option.

I'm currently working with Demello Offroad on a skid design but it's on hold right now due to other projects that I'm working on with Demello so until these other priority projects are done the skid will be on hold.

Hopefully Demello will be able to get something by the end of the year.

Sorry, I still don't have pictures. I've been busy working on my sliders. See page 2. Goodtimes used to have the Downey (see pictures). Same setup and very solid. Aside from drilling mounting holes in the front cross member and one in the back of the skid plate-easy job! I did add some spacers on the rear mounting bolts to fill the 5/16 gap between the skid and frame. The Downey skid is worth every penny ($185)!

Nice skid plates (AZrain and Downey). I'm looking for something like that. I have couple of questions: How much it lowers your clearance? What about radiator (both) and transmission (Downey) protection? Have you been able to figure out how to protect them?

Depends on how thick you want your skid to be. If you have a 1/4" skid then it'll be lowered by 1/4". The skid sits right under the crossmember so it doesn't lower it much and it's worty every bit anyway.

If you look at the bottom of the radiator, it has a mini cross member protecting it so no worries there. The only way to protect the tranny is by getting an extended skid cover.
