How did the 1st gen do up there? At first glance I'd say mine is comparable, but I don't know if you're running lockers or not. The last time I went snow wheeling was out at Stonyford... I handled my own with some struggling, but the snow was only a foot or so deep.
I've been wanting to check out trails up in that area, preferrably during the dry season first. Are they challenging enough in the summer to make it fun?
I'm a little out of the game... most of the guys I went to school with sold off their 4x4s and, like me, have been focusing more on work. I'm trying to get a feel for local 4Runner/4x4 clubs (I'm in Vacaville).
