Yes but it'll take some effort to locate a set and the 3rd row seatbelts will be missing if safety is a concern.

Plus certain interior panels and a coupe of seatbelts holes have to be drilled and tapped, right?

I think I saw a write up a couple months ago about a swap between two, one who had it and didn't want it and another who wanted it but didn't have it, and it looked like more pain than I would be willing to endure. And they already had all the parts, just needed to drill and tap, etc.

Plus if you can find that deal the seats still need to match the rest. The one I saw didn't and he had to have them recovered as well. Easier to just buy a different 4runner at that point. They are a dime a dozen.

And I'm not certain curtain window airbags extend that far back either, I could be wrong I have to check my buddy's non 3rd.

Yep. It's like the age old Jeep question "what do I need to turn my 2wd Cherokee into 4wd?" Bro, I can tell you exactly what you would need to do the swap but it's so much easier and more cost effective to just buy a different Jeep that is 4wd already.

The 3rd row kit has a proprietary 2nd row passenger side lever that half flips down the seat and allows you to slide the row forward with an assistance step to gain entry to the back, I can't imagine not having this function.

If you want a 3rd row and room for cargo I would get a Landcruiser and the dogs would love it too. Just my 2 pennies.

I have family of 4 and no dogs. I don't need 3rd row. I'm just curious about what is what. I'm just about to buy 4Runner and I have to know what are my options and limitations. I'm not going to pay extra few thousand dollars for 3rd row that I don't need.
