differential fluid change without jacking up the 4runner

For those of you who have changed the differential and transfer case fluid, do you find it possible to change the fluid without jacking up the 4runner? I know the rear diff looks very possible.

The front will be a little tricky because of lack of room. I had the front two on those drive up onto stands and it was tight. The back I did pretty easily without any form of elevation. You can give it a shot, but I'd recommend something to make your life easier.

Pritty sure I did all 3 on the ground, no lift.

It sounds like you need a lift kit.

I am a fat SOB and I don't have any trouble getting under mine.

I did mine with no lift and used a hand pump setup that worked great.

yes, but the one at the rear is the easiest. Transfer case and front diff will be a bit tight.

I did mine with no life, no wife, no shirt, and no beer. I do have a lift, and had to turn the front passenger side wheel full lock to the right to gain easier access to the front diff and transfer case, used a fuel line hose connected to the diff. bottle and used gravity to do the work. Boy that fluid was rank hell.
