Difficulty to replace interior carpet?

Hi all,

I would consider myself semi-handy but I really don't do much with cars except the occasional changing of a light bulb or battery. I need to get the interior carpet changed and I'm wondering if I buy the molded carpet, how hard it is to get everything out and back in?

I assume the seats and the center console need to come out? And then all of the molding around the doors and where ever else is tucks in.

Is this a job that can be finished in a half a day?

I took apart my whole interior and carpet for sound deadening, really its not too bad. It took me an entire weekend/ 17hrs to do mine but I also cleaned everything really well, took everything off including the headliner, and installed sound-deadening everywhere. You could probably change out the carpet in half a day though.

Why so much sound deadening? On the freeway mine is quieter than most cars I've been in.

Aggressive tires, louder exhaust, long road trips, future roof rack and upgraded stereo system. Didn't cost much in materials and I already wanted to clean the interior really well.
