Dino to synthetic after 100k miles? ( V8 )

winter can easily hit below -10 here, so I am thinking to change the oil to synthetic oil.
based on my research, it seems like some have good luck and others have experienced problems like oil consumption or leaks (seeps) etc.

I have a 2006 V8 4runner, dino has been used previously. if you have any experience like this, please share some thoughts. thanks!

That is 100% TRUE...HOWEVER...Those experiences happened some 30+ years ago. I've NEVER EVER read anything about anyone experiencing leaks or oil consumption on ANY modern synthetic oil.

I also use synthetic because of the extreme could weather we can experience. It's not unusual for us to get to -20....And when we go skiing for the weekend up North at higher elevations...I've seen -30. Synthetic is a definite advantage in those situations.

Do it and don't look back.
I switched and I had well over 100k on mine. I now have over 225k and no issues.
