Have them on mine. The Pro model. I suggest angling them down in the housing prior to install. These things are bright, so don't be worried about angling them down too much. Love mine and I think you'll be very happy with yours.

OK. Sounds like I have nothing to worry then. Comparing to stock, there was a lot more play on those, allowing more room for adjustment.

Tis true. I ordered from HotShot Offroad on Tacoma World Forum and had to wait a bit. Same for DD chase lights/pods.
They are pretty popular right now

I still have the SAE fog PRO's in yellow from my 4Runner, they don't fit in my new vehicle sadly, so they are available if anyone is looking, they were in my 4Runner for about 6 months, like new condition.
I loved them when I was using them, amazing output, lights the ditches up like daytime, which was great for watching for wildlife while in rural areas.

Impressive! Based on extensive personal experience with the SS3 Pro and Max Fog models though, I'd suggest that you might be a tad high with your current aim. You've got a pretty sizable dead zone immediately in front of the truck that a properly aimed fog beam should fill.

Thanks! They are a bit high aren't they? But they're on top of my bumper above the stock fog light housing. I played with them the other night and if I aim them lower, it's just a straight horizontal beam on the ground and no light spread on the ground. Kind of looking for a middle ground situation at the moment.
The good thing is my Baja Designs takes care of that dead zone behind the SS3's.
I possibly intended to change the SS3 lens to their driving/combo lens to see further on those foggy nights in the future. Or the Baja's to a spot lens (they're recessed into the bumper anyway and I feel like I'm not getting the potential wideness). But I'd like to see how they perform in the rain and fog as is right now.

Theoretically speaking, fog pattern lights should be mounted as low as possible. As you've already discovered, mounting them higher makes correct aiming next to impossible.
Driving pattern lights can be mounted higher with fewer ill effects. I might recommend just swapping the BD lights to the higher positions and the DD lights to the lower ones to get the maximum effect. You will lose some width on the fog pattern though because of the recessed mounting.
Remember also that the DD SS3's have a completely road legal beam pattern, but the BD Squadrons do not.

This X2, put the DD SAE fogs in the fog position and they'll work better than up higher, easier to aim, more light where you want it.
The fogs seem to do a great job of filling in where the other beam is blocked width wise, complimenting each other nicely.

I definitely agree with both of y'all. Unfortunately I opted for the square bezel so it may not fit in the housing. I'm not opposed to running it how it currently is. Who knows, may look into a different lens sooner than later
I usually only run the yellows if it's raining bad and more. Just used to treating it how it is with my BD fogs.

The other thing that may be making it impossible to properly aim your fogs is the "shelf" in the bumper that the fogs currently sit on. If it's too deep and the fogs are mounted too far back on it, this will prevent the beam from shining downward at all. Just a thought.

Thoughts on Amber Sport vs Pro
So the Pro in white was way too bright. Here in NY, there is some talk about cracking down on excessively nright lights, so I am going to take opportunity to switch to amber lights. I will repurpose the white lights as ditch lights and retrofit them with the square bezels.
But I wanted to get some feedback from the group about amber lights - sport vs pro? My use is primarily using on the roads in Catskills, NY area. Higher elevation with fog throughout the year. Deer and other animal running across the road is a constant hazard here.

Real world experience and recommendations from upstate NY. The Pro is brighter than the Sport, but the pattern is not as well defined. Said another way, the flat, horizontal pattern is taller. What this will lead to is better lighting, but the possibility of bothering more oncoming drivers. Properly aimed, this will be a minor problem.
The Sports have a very well defined beam pattern and put out an amazing amount of light - especially for the money. If you like to run your fogs all the time, these are the only way to fly. Again, they have to be aimed properly.
I'm currently running the Selective Yellow Max fogs in my 4Runner and absolutely love them. The output is amazing and they rarely bother oncoming drivers. (I don't run them all the time though.) Aim is really critical with these.
