does pulling this harness cause any problems? I'd really like to be able to disable vsc/tractoin control/ aids this easily without having to do any mods just yet. 2007 sr5 v6 4wd Thanks in advance

Well, you are messing with the brake booster at that point. I don't believe it'll do anything bad, but personally, I wouldn't mess with it. I'd say just do the mod. It takes 10 minutes tops. Just split the red wire; solder, or even tape, 2 wires to both ends; run both leads through that grommet below and to the right (Driver's side) of the brake booster; and finally, solder/tape those leads to a simple on/off switch.

Agreed, best not to chance it. That's what I'll do then. Much Thanks!

There's no difference between unplugging the harness and wiring in a switch. If you don't want to cut your harness, don't. Wiring in the switch only makes it easier and more practicle to disable the nanny modes. You're not "messing" with your brake booster anymore so when you unplug it vs flipping a switch.

I've got the 08 limited v8 and it has a traction control on/off switch. It disables both the vsc and traction control, so is there anything else I would gain by doing this mod?

I just traded in my 97 sr5 for my new (to me) whip and haven't had a chance to see how the atrac works to decide whether I like it or want to find a way to disable it, but I think I remember reading that this mod disables that as well. ..
