Sad, but Detroit did it to themselves. The philosophy that "everything will be okay" is not a good one! I think Detroit will recover, but it will take hard work, good products, and better manufacturing practices to catch up and earn the trust of the American public.

I agree. Quality needs to improve, and they need to show the public that buying a domestic will heed the same quality, handling, fuel economy, etc. as foreign auto makers.

I agree...i think that "Lifetime Powertrain Warranty" is a step (a small one though) in the right direction to regain trust. Of course, this is probably too late.
