Display Car Security Features? Or Not?

Just wondering what your guys opinion is on this.

I am thinking about having a Python 991 security/starter system as well as security film installed on my windows just for some peace of mind since I park my 4Runner in the alley behind my apartment.

Thinking as a criminal, do you guys think it is smarter to display what security features you have with those little window decals, such as the brand of your alarm or to keep it low key?

On one hand it might cause criminals to avoid your vehicle all together, but on the other hand it might either pose a challenge to them or give them information about which alarm you have installed.

Right now I'm thinking the decals make a good deterrant, especially a decal that says the windows are protected by security film, eliminates the possibility of a quick smash and grab.

I think displaying the stickers would make the quick criminal/punk think twice because they're usually looking for a fast grab but if its a career criminal I don't think it matters, they'll get in if they want.

Put the sticker on if you want, it could only help. most alarms are wired the same and the two top sellers, python and viper are the exact same systems regardless of which model you choose. I look at the stickers just like home alarms, most of the time the sign or sticker alerting you of the security system is outdated, it doesn't work anymore, or it is from a previous owner.

I wouldn't put the sticker on. The less info you give out about your security system the better. My aftermarket security system came with a big flashing LED when the system is armed-so that's enough to warn people that I have an alarm.
