Do I have X-REAS?

I tried searching but all I've seen so far aren't related to finding out if I have it. Its all about how to make it work/lift/fix.etc.

I have a 2003 Limited v8. What does it look like?

Thanks.

I'm probably not the one to offer info but I had it on my 2005 V8 Sport. The shocks look just like regular shocks but each one has a hydraulic line attached to it and each line runs to what looks like a cannister (if my memory serves me right, it actually is a hydraulic fluid resevoir for the shocks) that is mounted to the outside of the frame pretty close to where the two doors meet. You can see the cannisters (on each side of the car) just by getting on your hands and knees and looking at the outside of the frame under the car. The shocks are paired together via the cannister, the left front to the right rear and the right front to the left rear. Thus the name "X"reas If one starts leaking then they have to be replaced in pairs. I believe it is standard on the Sport models and optional on the limited. I don't know what years the Xreas came out, told you I wasn't the one to offer the info. There are many posts on here about the Xreas and pictures just need to do the right search. Have a good one..............Harold

That's correct ^^^

I also have a 2003 limited. XREAS was common on the first limited models. One thing I believe, but don't quote me, is that if you have the air suspension control on your console, then XREAS was standard.

I could be wrong, feel free to flame away :wow: Anyone know for sure?

You're right. If it has rear air suspension, it has X-REAS. It could have X-REAS without rear air suspension.
