my family member did the oil changes at Tewksbury Toyota all the time .. well one oil change they pour oil on the engine.. I tell them you have to inspect when the dealership does the work .. so I brought the 2009 V8 runner back to the dealership and they did not charge the oil changes and they cleaned up the mess..

When I had my first oil change at the dealer, no broken bolts and everything was still spotless. However the engine made loud tapping noises.
I did the second oil change myself because I didn't want to go to dealer due to corona. The tapping noises are gone and I used Mobil 0w-20.
I'm not sure if the dealer used the wrong oil on the first oil change. Hopefully no long term damage.

My assumption was that they didn't use a funnel to fill the oil, because it was all over the skid plate, the engine cover and all over my brand new Odyssey battery. When I took my skid plate down there was oil all over the skid and no apparent leaks visible anywhere.
When my wife had her Forester at the Subaru dealer they dumped oil all over her fuse box and left an oil soaked rag laying against her battery terminals.... Glad that thing didn't burst into flames
