Do we share brakes with GX 470? Time to replace.

Noticed my brakes have been pulsing like crazy so I assume the rotors are warped. I know a guy who works at a Lexus dealer. He may be able to get me parts at cost as a one-time favor. Do we share pads and rotors with the GX 470?

I may turn the rotors but if they are too warped or thin, I'll just buy new ones. I prefer Toyota parts, so was considering asking him but I wanted to be sure they are shared parts.

i think only the sport models have the same parts, if your have the 13.3 rotors, u might be lucky, usually you sr5 owners have the smaller 12.6 i think.

I wonder if they will fit, even if I have the smaller rotors. I may have to call the dealership to check, though I suspect I may not get the answer.

you might just want to do the upgrade with 13.3 rotors up front along with new calipers, the rears are the same as the 4runner, since they use 12.6 in the back.

but how many miles on the brakes?

have the rotors ever been turned before?

pulsation can also be from an uneven material build-up, and this is actually the most common cause
if the rotors havent been turned, they are likely fine. have them resurfaced, and throw some new pads on, and be done.
