Do you guys keep survival gear in your rigs?

I carry all my stuff in a military foot locker, but I'm working on a flush lockable box for my gobi stealth.

Combat Lifesaver Medbag:
-Everything from burn gel and bandages, to a splint, combat gauze, and needles to treat a tension pneumothorax.

Recovery Bag:
-Tool set, Snatch block, breaker bar, tree save strap, extra shackles, jumper cables, fuses.

Survival:
-Benchmade knife, heavy wool blanket, a pair of boots with socks, tarp, solar cell phone charger, handheld CB radio, and maglite, 550 cord, SOG tomahawk (for zombies :cowboy: ), Kabar Kukhri (also for zombies), goretex top and bottom.

My list.

Full tool box, gasket making material, fluids for rig and driver, combat medics bag, ditch bag (for when wifey kicks me out), two rods and tackle, two inverters, tie downs, sleeping gear, k-bar, fire starters, mechanics gloves. There is always more floating around but can't remember off the top of my head. It looks like too much but never seems to be enough when I need it so I keep adding.

When i go to canada i bring my sw500mag a oxygen tank and a full surgical med bag with chest needles and tampons.
I also bring a portable welder and water heater and a gallon of bleach for water, 1000ft of 550 cord and 300ft climb rope.
10gal gas, 2 5lb propane tanks and a grille for cooking. a 6 man tent with small wood stove. axe pick axe and shovel.

Pretty much this, except I don't generally drive around town with the tools/recovery gear/spares.

Not my DD.
Sits in the driveway locked up until the weekend comes around haha

Besides all the recovery/tools/medical stuff that has already been said, I always have my mobile ham radio in my 4runner as well as a handheld. Much more reliable than a cell phone when you are in the middle of nowhere. Although you should always bring a charged cell phone anyways.

I like the emergency shoes, that's a great idea. Next time I buy new sneakers, I'm going to toss the old ones in the back of the truck.

Yeah shoes/boots and a good spare backpack. If I have to hike it out of somewhere, Hell's Revenge, there are things I don't want to leave lying around in the rig, but at the same time I don't want to be loaded down carrying crap.
