Do you know where this was shot?

Hey, gang. I'm trying to find out where this video was shot, and whether it is accessible to the public.

I already tried contacting the owner of the video, and he just said he doesn't remember. The guy in the video says "on top of Tillamook, I think", but that's just not helpful.

Does anyone know where this trail is located? I want to take the GF to this spot.

Thanks,

William

I believe that would be Oregon, search King Mountain.

I'm wondering if it might be the road up to Badger Lake. Looks similar, but not near tillamook. Could be the guy was just wrong about location.

What's funny is they are all Michigan plated, and no OHV pass. Of course I'm sure they set something up with the forestry service.

You have to have a permit to drive on dirt in Oregon?

It's not quite that simple. There are areas that are designated for offroad vehicles that are maintained and improved. They allow all manner of quads, bikes, 4x4, buggies, etc. I don't mind paying the small sticker fee, knowing that we are using the proceeds to keep access open to amazing areas. It beats trying to find a non-posted spot somewhere and worrying about the po po the whole time.

Someone has to pay to maintain a 57 mile long off-road trail on the side of a mountain leading up to a glacial lake.

So I researched for a while. I am feeling about 85% that it's the trail up to Badger Lake. I could be wrong, though, as I'm a transplant with a terrible sense of direction.

I'm going to make the trip as soon as the snow melts, so I'll be able to confirm it then.
