Stupid jobs and there drug testing! Bah!
it never ceases to amaze me the amount of people that openly admit to illicit drug use on public forums...
^LOL...sounds like you need a toke haha. I'm sure the police have better things to do than hunt down people who admit to smoking a bit of weed. It's not like he's admitting to shooting heroin and selling it to kids or something. And yes there's a difference between weed and heroin, don't give me that "it's all the same" bullshnit.
As for the original question. I use to celebrate it, but now that I started my career I gave that up. It was definately a fun and memorable part of my life tho.
you know there is law enforcement units dedicated to finding people commiting crimes or admitting to crimes on things such as Facebook or even a forum. it may be going out on a limb to say a member T4R.org would get in trouble for something like that but still its not smart to air your dirty laundry on the internet.
Yes I'm aware of that, but those units are more to find child molesters and people who post videos on youtube of driving 180km/h or drinking behind the wheel. Plus for all you know, he could be using it for medicinal purposes making it 100% legal.
Trust me I get where your coming from and I'm not trying to dance around that, but was it really necessary for you to be a wet blanket?
well i sorta am in the law enforcement field lol
on a lighter note, there is a 4/20 celebration every year in vancouver at the art gallery. there is music, food vendors and a section of the street blocked off for pot smokers to gather.
Oh haha, well in that case I was never here:
i dont give a **** man do what you do behind closed doors.
All my friends in law enforcement could care less about weed. What a waste of time and money to fight it. I don't smoke, but if I did, I'd have to celebrate.
there are many reasons why legalizing marijuana would make sense.
i did a study for the prevalence of outdoor marijuana grow operations through out british columbia.
if you were to legalize marijuana and control it through taxation, BC alone would produce somewhere between 10-15 billion dollars per year.
that could go towards, education, health care services, law enforcement and other necessities.
also the resulting hemp can be used in textile industries, for making paper, and other products which require the use of a wood fibre.
it would also reduce the cutting down of trees in our forests.
however, there are a few reasons why marijuana isnt legal.
first off it'd have to be legalized across the country (in Canada criminal law falls to the federal government and thus the criminal code is the same across the provinces) and as such may be difficult to legalize if there are dissenting provinces.
secondly, our proximity to the US doesnt allow for legalization to be feasible. if marijuana was legal in canada and not in the US, people would come across the border, purchase marijuana legally then attempt to smuggle it back to the US where its still illegal.
thus legalization has to happen to Canada AND the US which I doubt will happen in my life time.
I also work in the law enforcement field btw. :hello:
this is all a great arguement but keep it illegal, its like job security for some![]()

but so do potential future employers.
